All of the Thermo Pro valves are Nitrox ready for use with both DIN and
yoke (K) regulator first stage fittings. The outlet on the valve is a
five-thread DIN, designed to accept an included yoke adapter insert that
converts the outlet to the classic K-valve fitting. You may see this
style of valve variously described as DIN/K, 200-Bar DIN, 232-Bar DIN,
or 'Convertible'. All these different names apply to exactly the same
style valve outlet, which is suitable for use with the 3442 psi service
pressure cylinders and any DIN or yoke style regulator.
Combine modular valves with a cross-bar into a dual-outlet manifold configuration to dive with two cylinders as a single larger gas supply. The movable isolator helps conserve breathing gas during a burst disk release or cylinder neck O-ring failure. You may also disassemble, remove the cross-bar, and plug the modular valve ports on manifolded doubles to make two single cylinders with single outlets. Use a modular valve and an H-valve adapter to make a dual outlet H-valve configuration. H-valves create a single cylinder with two valve outlets. The dual outlets allow you to use two regulators to provide backups in the event of a regulator or hose failure.
Thermo Pro valves are factory cleaned for pre-blended Nitrox up to 40% oxygen, with viton and EPDM O-rings, Christo-Lube MCG 111 lubrication, and Nylon high pressure seat material. Each and every Thermo Pro DIN/K valve receives eight-step testing and is pressurized to full working pressure. The Thermo Pro DIN/K valve meets Compressed Gas Association Standard for Compressed Gas Cylinder Valves.
Inlets have standard 0.750-14 NPS (3/4 NPS) neck threads for use with all modern aluminum and steel SCUBA tanks. Inlets include a threaded 'dip tube' with hex opening suitable for easy dependable installation with a hex key.
Nearly indestructible handwheel made from soft rubber formed around a stainless steel insert. The stainless steel insert ensures positive operation with long-lasting life. The large ribs make it easy to open or close the valve even while wearing gloves. The rubber with stainless steel insert handwheel design is the preferred choice of cave divers. The black handwheel is standard, and an optional green handwheel is available.
A one-piece safety assembly (burst disk) eliminates the possibility of mismatched components.
This greatly reduces the likelihood of accidental incorrect installation of the safety assembly and protects the integrity of your diving cylinder. The safety device is shielded by the valve body to avoid damage during transportation or while diving.
Modular valve connectors incorporate double O-ring seals known for their robust reliability. The double O-ring seal design is the preferred choice of cave and wreck divers.
